: I know of a different way of double clutching rather than going through the trouble of putting it into nuetral reving up and then downshifting. This usually works best on take-off. Its simple...Launch normally and when one reaches about 4000 rpm's simply pop the clutch twice (while keeping your foot floored on the gas) and keep on going. This will in fact shoot your rpm's up and around 6000 and as everybody knows your cars maximum potential and best performance occurs at higher RPM's. : What do you mean *pop the clutch twice*? Do you mean, while still in 1st gear, and still with the gas floored, to depress the clutch, let it out, then press it again, and finally let it out the second time??
: At what point do you upshift to 2nd? : Maybe you mean that you press the clutch at about 4000rpm, keeping the gas floored, then shift into 2nd? : That's more like *speed shifting*.
